Habitat for Humanity

There’s a certain satisfaction to be taken from a good day’s labor.  Especially when you can appreciate the fruit of your collaborative efforts as you see a project take form in a matter of hours.

Quorum Architects, Inc. partnered with Frank W. Neal & Assoc., Inc. on September 9th, 2011 for a build day with Habitat for Humanity.  We helped build the future home for the Erives Family at the 3100 block of Royal Crest Drive, here in Fort Worth.  In the morning upon arrival, the site consisted of a clean slab with nothing more than plumbing stub ups and anchor bolts.

By the end of our shift most of the exterior and interior walls had been framed.  We had a couple of drawbacks that caused some delays but that didn’t stop us!. We were quite proud of our progress, which was substantial in comparison to other projects in the area.  Of course, we had strength in numbers with a crew of some 24 volunteers in all, and a group of very experienced crew chiefs and a task oriented site manager.  Everyone completed their tasks quickly and efficiently and moved on to the next task at hand, always eager to put hammer to nail, and attentive to the given directions.

Thank you Habitat for Humanity, and a special thanks once again to our patient superintendent and crew chiefs that provided instruction and put up with us “less-talented” individuals.  Your gratitude at the end of our shift was heartfelt and sincere.  Also thank you to Mr. Omar Erives and family for allowing us to work on your home.  It was a pleasure to work side by side with Omar and to see his future home take shape.  The Quorum family wishes your family many wonderful memories in your new home.
